Joshua is Born

This was a very exciting month for quite a few reasons. First, This marks the one year anniversary of my home page. Additionally, I have another nephew named Joshua who came into the world this month. Also, the Gateway sponsored Saturday in the Park was a total blast, and I went to a few going away parties for friends that are moving to San Diego. Then of course, I went to Myrtle Beach to check on the progress of the house. Whew! Pretty busy month.

Skipped a Month

I’m a little upset with myself because this May was the first month that I was unable to post any pictures. I was just too busy. In May, I went to Ted’s annual Okoboji golf outing (sorry no pictures allowed), Columbus OH to see Dave and Sandy (forgot my camera), and then to Los Angeles CA for my grandmother’s 95th birthday (yes, I got a few pictures!). Work continues nicely on the house, and the realtors are sending me photos via email. Digital cameras are pretty popular in the real estate field. Last but not least, but my friend,Deborah Stillman, had a baby boy Zach this month. Congratulation, Deb.

Vacation at Club Med

The first weekend in April, I flew down to Austin, TX for Steve’s surprise 40th birthday party. The biggest surprise is that most of Steve’s family flew in from Minnesota and California for the event. It was a very nice evening, and I had the chance to catch up with some old friends.

I spent Easter weekend in good old North Sioux City. I went to church with the Grueskin family, and then we went to the Blue Stem for an Easter brunch.

Well I finally took some much needed R&R, and went on vacation. Generally speaking, I had a ball. The weather was great. I played golf, went snorkling, played some volleyball, and polished off three books. Oh yea, and we won the golf tournament!

Dublin and Myrtle Beach

Wow, what a month. I found myself in Dublin again. Got quite a bit of work done, and then one day of relaxation before coming back home again. We watched Ireland lose to Wales in rugby, and then had a nice meal in an Italian place called La Strada.

TJ Neswick, an old buddy that I worked with when Gateway was TIPC Network, Troy Kampa, the architect, and I flew down to Myrtle Beach, SC to enjoy some nice weather and select a contractor for the house. Janet Cox introduced us to Raymond Moore who will be building the house.

Traveling for Work

I had a great time at the Super Bowl, and I guess the only bad news was that I lost my camera with all the pictures 🙁 The good news is that I was able to buy another camera that is even better than the one before, that has a faster processor, a flash, and it works with flash memory.

Right after the Super Bowl, I had a party for John d’August who was leaving the company, but I didn’t have the new camera yet. The following weekend, Keith Linden and I hosted the Brainerd sisters, Stephanie and Jamie at my house. Then I went to Dublin, where I worked a lot, didn’t sleep much, and fortunately, was able to take a few photos.

Well I flew straight from Dublin to Phoenix Arizona. Let me tell you, it’s a very long plane ride. We had some very serious meetings there, but we also had a little time for some golf.
