Home for Christmas

I spent Christmas this year with my Grandmother from Los Angeles; my brother Dave, his wife, Sandy, and of course Ryan; youngest brother Mike and his wife Nicole from the DC area, and my parents. It was a very nice Christmas with lots of gifts, good Chinese food, and yes, lots of bridge. Also, progress continued on the new house. Troy, the architect, came up with a few new diagrams which I have tried to use my camera to show here. I feel a little like James Bond using my camera to click on documents! Troy does all his designs by hand and refused to enter the digital world.

House Hunting in Myrtle Beach

I met Mom and Dad in Myrtle Beach to search for the new place in Myrtle Beach. It was kind of tough because I was on crutches due to my tendon tear, but everything turned out great.

I flew down to Austin TX for a quick Thanksgiving weekend at the Burtzels. Cheryl cooked a Thanksgiving meal, and Steve’s nephew, Cory together with his wife and new born kid were present. Also, Cory’s wife’s parents were there to round out a nice holiday gathering. Steve and I were planning to play golf but the weather never cooperated.

Ryan’s 3rd Birthday

I wasn’t able to make Ryan’s third birthday in Dave and Sandy’s new house in Columbus, but Dave was able to take some nice digitized photos of the event which he sent to many over email.

N. Sioux City, South Dakota

Basically, I spent September 1997 in North Sioux City, but I was quite busy. I’m still working on moving back into my house as various shipments return from Dublin. I also went on a few dates, bought a new car, and new home theatre system, dining room set, stove, etc.

Back in Dublin

My whirlwind trip returned me to Dublin to do a little work. I didn’t get the chance to take many pictures be cause I had so much work to do, but maybe next time I’m back….
