I started at Gateway in January 1991. I remember that it was really cold in South Dakota. Little did I know that it was going to begin a very exciting time in my life. I started as the Director of Marketing.

This is the back of my first Gateway badge. I was employee number 535. I joined right before the company was going to explode. Timing is everything. Over time, the company continued to give out sequential employee numbers, so seniority could be determined by badge number. I think they eliminated this practice around badge number 20,000

I believe that this badge was taken around 1993-4 when we moved into our expansion building called Mexico. It was called Mexico because it was due South from our Main building. Also around this time, I made Vice President at Gateway. At the time, VP's were rare. I believe that I was probably the 5th person to ever make VP at Gateway.

This is my badge when I became Managing Director of Gateway Europe. The year is 1996. I was located in Dublin Ireland and I am getting fat. Must be all the Guiness I drank.
