As I already documented earlier, Teddy’s christening had a cloud over it because the Father at our church would not allow Augusto to be the Godfather. He did allow Augusto to attend the Christening, and we took some photos of the big event. Solange was really excited for the event and bought Teddy a special outfit just for the occasion.

I am now 48 years old, and I have just now found one of the greatest pleasures in life. Making a baby laugh. Perhaps it is their innocence, or the true sincerity of the laugh. But it just makes you happy and you almost automatically want to laugh along. We were in one of the nicer Asian restaurants in Rio called Mr. Lam. Solange placed two chopsticks under Teddy’s arms, and he could not stop laughing. I think that we had a better time than all the other people at the restaurant. One comment on “Making a Baby Laugh!”

Solange has been dying to have a professional photo shoot with props and lighting. So one day, she snuck out when I was on a conference call and came back with the photos from the shoot. They really turned out great. Of course, the photo studio does not give you digitals but prints. So I had to scan them in, and then make this slide show. I really have to wonder when these photographers will enter the digital age! Hey that’s it! I’m going to open up a photo studio and only use digital technology. Oh well. that’s for another day. Enjoy Teddy’s photo shoot.

Great photos, Rob. And I have some cute ones I need to send to you of Teddy smearing food all over his face while we were at Carretão.

The weather is finally clearing up and we decided to take Teddy on a little trip to the beach. Teddy loved the experience playing in the sand and the water the entire time. I pulled out my camera and took a ton of great photos. It was hard to decide which ones to leave out. Teddy is definitely a full fledged beach boy. I can’t wait for him to get a load of the beaches in Rio de Janeiro.

Solange has been taking a lot of video of Teddy, so I put them all together in a collage. I hope one day when he is older, he can look back at this video and laugh. When I look back in time at the happiest moments of my life, in many ways, none can compare to this point in time. Teddy + Solange is a terrific formula for me. That’s why I chose one of my favorite songs of all time as the background music. “I Could Not Ask For More”, by Edwin McCain. Sometimes, it is amazing how one song can catch your feelings so squarely. Then I threw in a few titles in Windows Movie Maker and voila. One comment on “I Could Not Ask For More”

Teddy’s cute, Rob! How cool it must be to see your own kid look up and smile at you (I can’t wait for that part). A commendable job of editing, btw.
