    Teddy’s 2nd Birthday Videos

    Teddy’s second birthday party was held in our home in Myrtle Beach, SC. Solange bought an inflatable castle for the kids to play in. At the same time, Brazil played the United States for the soccer championship called the Confederate Cup. Brazil won 3-2 in a very exciting match. Every one had a great time, and here is some video of the event.

    The theme of the party was Spiderman, and the food was delicious and the cake was especially memorable.

    Teddy Walks!

    Teddy just turned one year old so as in Brazilian tradition, Solange threw a big party for him for his first birthday. Then we invited quite a few people to partake in the celebration. Now that we are in the digital age, we had quite a few digital cameras filming the festivities. Teddy had a ball, but then toward the end of the party, Teddy walked for the first time in his life. Thanks to all the cameras, two different people caught Teddy taking his first steps. Truly priceless. So I put it all together in a nice little video to commemorate the special moment.

    Making a Baby Laugh!

    I am now 48 years old, and I have just now found one of the greatest pleasures in life. Making a baby laugh. Perhaps it is their innocence, or the true sincerity of the laugh. But it just makes you happy and you almost automatically want to laugh along. We were in one of the nicer Asian restaurants in Rio called Mr. Lam. Solange placed two chopsticks under Teddy’s arms, and he could not stop laughing. I think that we had a better time than all the other people at the restaurant.

    In Memory of Jeff Nassiff

    I just learned that Jeff Nassiff passed away two nights ago. He had a long struggle with cancer. Jeff was a colleague of mine at Gateway from the very beginning. I remembered that I had taken a video when Jeff, RJ and Brad came to visit Myrtle Beach in March 2002. I re-edited the video as a tribute to Jeff. Rest in Peace, Jeff.

    2. Jeff – what a great guy – i was lucky enough to have an office next to Jeff for a couple years at Gateway – Nassiff always seemed to be at ease at whatever he was doing work or play. Be well Jeff.

    3. Thank you, so much, Rob for sharing this with us. Jeff and Bake were best friends since the 3rd grade. He will be playing a lot of golf in Heaven and waiting for all of us to join him some day. He will truly be missed here on Earth. The Bakers

    5. I don’t think I’ve ever met you Rob, but I wanted to thank you for putting the video on your post. I am one of Jeff’s sisters. We will all miss him. He meant a lot to many people – had a way of connecting. I have been moved by the love his friends showed throughout his illness and his passing. He appreciated all of the support and prayers so much – he loved life, and he knew God richly blessed him. Thank you – Kathy

    6. I hadn’t seen Jeff since I graduated in 1981 but had a huge crush on him all through elementary school and Jr. High. We went to church and school together and I was in David’s class. I am so sorry to hear he is gone but so glad to know that we will see him again one day. Hello to his Sioux City family and friends.

    Jesse Cheng’s 80th Birthday Party

    My father turned 80 on March 27, 2008, and we decided to have a full celebration for him on Saturday March 28, 2008. We all spent the entire day together from lunch to dinner. We are all so busy in our lives that we don’t spend as much time meeting with your loved ones. I put together this video commemorating the occasion. The background music is Kool and the Gang’s Celebrate. I also put in a Ken Burns effect.
