Sabbatical from Gateway Begins
Guess what? I spent virtually the entire month of October as the beginning of my 90 day sabbatical. So far it’s been great. First I went to Tampa Bay, to help an old friend celebrate his 40th. Next, I drove the Acura to Chicago where I caught up with some old friends. Then I flew to New York City, where I ran into Tom Grueskin, and we went to World Series Game 1. I also visited Jeff Resnick’s family, who I roomed with in college. Back to Chicago for another day, and then I drove to Columbus OH, to visit my brother’s family, including my two nephews, Ryan and Joshua. Enjoy the photos. I know I liked making them. Sorry, no pics of Tampa Bay or Chicago. 🙁
- I had an incredible view from my hotel in New York
- Tommy and I had dim sum in Chinatown.
- An inside view of Tom’s new place
- Tom trying to look at home
- Then Tom and I went to the World Series
- We had pretty good seats
- I also stayed at Jeff and Debbie’s new house in Irvington
- The last night, Jeff, Tommy and I had tapas in a cool bar.
- In Columbus, we went to dinner, and Ryan got his tongue blue!
- 2 month old Joshua playing with balloons.
- The highlight of Ryan’s party was busting open the pinata
- Ryan tried to stuff all the pinata candy in his shirt.
- No party’s complete without cake.
- Joshie was asleep when this one was taken
- I showed Ryan how to make a paper airplane
- Ryan’s just being silly.
