Golf Tourament in Myrtle Beach
I have to admit that April was a great month for me. After returning Michigan, I, by and large, just stayed in Myrtle Beach. I love it down here. I’ve been taking golf lessons three times a week, hitting golf balls every day, and playing 18 about twice a week. I finally feel like my golf game is improving, and the weather has been splendid.
During April, seven Gateway guys came down for a golf weekend. We played 72 holes in 2.5 days. Combined with all the drinking, and I was pooped after they left. Also, my buddy, Steve Johns, who also recently left Gateway, came down for a quick visit.
Perhaps the biggest news of all is that after considerable wrangling, I’ve decided to stay in Myrtle Beach, and not move to California. Believe me, it was a tough decision, but I am happy with it. My only travel this month was to California to tell everyone that I won’t be moving there. That was a tough trip.
- The tough 15th hole at Prestwick. Par 3, 170 yards, carrying water for about 150. Yikes.
- Tony Grasso and I won the tournament, pictured here with Mike Dunne and John Hinds.
- Here is all of us before starting our final 18 holes. Do we look tired?
- Another group shot, but I don’t think the guy figured out my camera too well.
- Here’s Steve Johns, good hip turn, straight left arm, head behind ball, but the ball went in the woods.
- Steve Johns, aiming at the pin at #15. I think he has a 4 iron. I blew it passed by 20 yards!
- Ryan looks pooped about running around DisneyLand for a few hours.
- It was Ryan’s pleasure to meet the famous Donald Duck.
- Here’s Joshua enjoying a sunny Columbus OH day.
- Here’s the big news of the month. Little Joshie is going mobile.
- Four generations of Chengs in California.
