Ted’s 40th Birthday Party
When Ted Waitt throws a party, you know it is going to be a great time. I was lucky enough to be there.
- Stan and Lisa Lupkes. Stan ran sales when I was at Gateway
- William Wang and his wife. William is president of Princeton Graphics.
- Fantastic and comfortable view!The Bodines started the festivities.
- Tom Grueskin and Mike Jarvis Tom’s an old Sioux City friend, and Jarvo worked with me in Ireland.
- Mary Hartnet and Mike Lowicka. Mary is one of the original members of the Gateway marketing group, and Mike is an old friend of Tom and Ted’s.
- Jamie Collas, Dave and Kim Russell, and Mike Lowicka.Toward the end of the evening, we were all hanging out at the tent.
- Earl Grueskin and Jamie Collas. Earl was one of the first employees at Gateway, and Jamie grew up in Sioux City but now lives in San Diego.
- Dave Furlong, Fritz Frazier, and Lorne Peck.
- Dave Russell and Tim Burton. Dave has run purchasing at Gateway for the last 15 years. Tim was one of our marketing reps.
- Dave Shaffer and wife. Dave is the former SVP of Sales for Western Digital.

Hi Rob,
My goodness….I’ve been doing a bit of a hunt on the ‘net for ex-Gateway staff from Dublin as someone has organised a reunion on Feb 8th in guess where……Harry Byrne’s, Clontarf. Anyway, came across your site in doing the search and thought wow there’s a blast from the past.
I don’t know if you remember me. Myself and Pamela used to organise the night’s out and I seem to remember you playing at Dave {was it Sheppard’s - the legal council} birthday party at the apartment in the Marina, Malahide. You called me into your office the following Monday to help you get the words and chords of Ride On, by Christy Moore, much to the disgust of my manager Orla McCormack!
Well, just thought I’d drop in and say hi. Congratulations on the birth of your kiddie - perhaps there’s more than one.
